Profile text: Anyone in Newry or near the border of Republic of Ireland? A few months ago, I was in Enniskillen and tried some british apples from a Spar shop.. Were the best apples I've ever tried, called "Magic Star".. Grown in Kent, most british apples are better than what we get in Ireland.. Some process they follow that apples in Ireland are not as crispy and sweet. No british apples come to Ireland. I hope to find someone on the border that than receive delivery of apples and I'll drive up to pick them up.... anyone??? I've sponken to tesco, marks spencer, supervalue, spar, all businesses in Ireland, they don't get british products.. thanks to brexit.. 2023 January 15: Moved to Dublin, Ireland. 2022 August 19 - Sept 2: visiting dublin, ireland. 2022 August 2-9: visiting woodbridge, va.. can host or travel.. 2021 Update: Already got my J&J Covid vaccine.. Thanks... 2014 latest update: moved back in VA after a few years in EU. 2014 update: it's about time I update a little. I am no longer in Maryland, in 2012 moved to Dublin, Ireland. Ireland, truely the loveliest people here. gentle, easy going, loving...there are crazy ones too. the crowd in typical track suit with lacoste or some other expensive shoes would be the crowd you refrain from (for safety)... hehhe.. what's sad is in some ways, ireland is totally opposite of US. here gay rights are recognized by the government and people are very tolerant but as long as you are not the gay relative, if you get the drift. They really talk behind you and with the small population, there is no secret. you pronounce a word and it reaches the other end of this island in no time. i cannot take my irish friends anywhere in this country without them bumping into their other relatives or friends. it's like they all originated in one neighborhood and everyone knows each others family members, ancestors by FULLname. an example would be my doctor knows my irish housemate, his forefathers, his extended family that's living all over ireland, whom dating whom, whose niece, nephew, etc...it might sound nice but it's just too much, no privacy..consequently, gay life in ireland is non-existent. there are lots of gay bars full of mixed crowd. everyone living in the closet. everyone has baggage, married or kids or family or something.. you might connect with someone at a gaybar but as soon as they leave the bar, they can be gay. you can't date..there are adult stores, bath houses where you can meet some married guy for a quickie and who knows what you might pick up from them.. it's almost impossible to have gay community, activities..gay friends.. I enjoyed the gay family and friends i left back in DC and hopefully, i can get some group going here. there are a few mixed dinner groups but come on people, couldn't we do better? how about a potluck dinner group, or hiking, group..i love movies, music...there is irish nudist group but they hate the gays because of a few bad apple. Guys if you are seeking something more than just imaginary sex (most irish can't host, can't visit, can't meet, enjoys hot steamy chats), please do contact me. If you are seeking love or friendship, a place to meet someone, let me know. I'd like to setup a group of gaymen that can have friends over for dinner, possibly potluck, perhaps enjoys watching movies, travelling, perhaps has a house in the country where friends can go for a weekend visit, perhaps a house with pool where we can arrange a bbq or if someone has a boat or any sailor skill so that a few guys can rent a boat and go out in the water for a day or more.. make things adventurous. please leave me your contact information if you'd like to be part of a SOCIAL not sexual group. i'd think sex is personal but we goal should be socializing.. perhaps help each other with jobs.. I just finished my MBA in cloud computing and soon will be looking. it would be nice to work in a gay friendly environment. so there goes my two cents. I need members for social groups. perhaps couples who like to expand their friend circle.. maybe once a month potluck at a member's home.. once a month movie night.. it's upto the host if he wants to extend after hour activity, which won't be controlled by this group.. hint.. hint...hehhe. are there gay households in ireland that like to host other friends? sorry for repeating so many times but i am trying to make a point..hehhe 2011 update: what do you do when you find your magician and realize your heart had always belonged to him? well, consider yourself lucky. love is about giving anyway. <heheh> they say mandrake's touch remains for at least a thousand lives...<heheh> we'll see. hope you all get to lose your heart to someone. now back to older stuff.. i am really bad in deleting anything.. makes it more interesting to read.. so read up.. I still do love all my friends.. Like the older crowd. I am trying to setup a local gay group for social activities. Ideas, suggestions, responses are encouraged. <hehehe> We played croquet some months ago and loved the game so much that we've bought our own croquet set. What would make the game more interesting is to have all men's group. :-) Maybe play in nude..<ehehhe> We live 10 miles away from DC, in Maryland on a 17 acre lot attached to rock creek park so privacy is assured. Transportation shouldn't be an impediment. Our place is always clothing optional, just make yourself comfy. :-) We do have a hobby farm that inhabits sheep, goats, and a guard llama. I am career driven but try to keep enough freetime for friends or any activity. I like oldermen. it's nice to have friends to share the heated pool or get together over weekends to play croquet or watch a movie or some group activity. :-) anything is possible. traveling is a hobby. We need to strengthen our gay community. :-) My interests are oldermen, music (schumann to ventures to moby to eminem, i know it's weird but i enjoy all kinds of music though hardcore rap is a bit over the top for me), movies (oldies to new sci-fi kinds - movies are supposed to entertain you after all), theatre (NY certainly has the best but we do enjoy small productions done at Olney theatre as well), museums, visiting historical places, theme parks, flea market, hiking, beach. :-) On yahoo my alias is "funstuff4shan" without the "". :-) I am here to make new friends..
